Run Shakebug entirely on your own infrastructure — capture bugs, crashes, sessions and product analytics while every record stays inside your network. Self-hosted deployment is available on the Shakebug Enterprise plan.
Self-hosted — also called on-premise — bug reporting means the data your app collects is stored on infrastructure you own and operate, rather than in a vendor’s shared cloud. Instead of sending bug reports, crash logs and session data to Shakebug’s servers, your app sends them to a Shakebug backend running in your own environment.
For most teams the managed Shakebug cloud is the fastest way to start. But organisations with strict data governance, security-review or regulatory obligations often need their diagnostic data to never leave their network. Self-hosted Shakebug is built for exactly that: the same product, deployed where you decide.
Keep customer and diagnostic data within a specific country, region or private network to meet data-residency requirements — the data physically lives where your policies require.
Fintech, healthcare, government and other regulated teams can align bug and crash data with their existing HIPAA, GDPR, PCI or internal compliance controls, inside their own audited environment.
Shakebug’s database is encrypted at rest, and when self-hosted that database sits entirely within your infrastructure — behind your firewalls, access controls and monitoring. Nothing is handed to a third-party cloud.
You decide who can reach the data, how long it is kept, and how it is backed up — without depending on an external vendor’s defaults.
Getting reporting to flow to your own backend is straightforward:
setShakebugSDKEndPointURL), and reports
are sent there instead of Shakebug’s cloud.A self-hosted Enterprise deployment is the complete product, not a stripped-down build. You get:
Self-hosted deployment is the right fit for enterprises and regulated teams that must keep application and user data inside their own environment — banks and fintech, healthcare and health-tech, public sector and government, and any security-conscious organisation whose review process requires on-premise or private-cloud hosting. If that’s you, we’ll help you scope it.

Self-hosted bug reporting means the bug, crash and session data your app collects is stored on infrastructure you control — your own servers or private cloud — instead of a vendor's multi-tenant cloud. With Shakebug, you run the backend in your environment and the SDK sends reports there, so the data never leaves your network.
Yes. On-premise (self-hosted) deployment is available on the Shakebug Enterprise plan. The Shakebug SDKs support a configurable endpoint URL out of the box, so they can point to your self-hosted instance instead of Shakebug's cloud. All of them — iOS, Android, Flutter, React Native and web. Each SDK exposes a method (for example setShakebugSDKEndPointURL) that lets you set your own endpoint URL, header key and optional SSL public key, so every platform reports to your self-hosted backend.
Yes. Shakebug stores data in a database that is encrypted at rest, and when self-hosted that database lives entirely within your own infrastructure. You keep full control of where the data sits and who can reach it.
Yes. Self-hosted Enterprise deployments include the same product: shake-to-report bug capture, AI crash grouping, session and user journeys, product analytics and events, cohort retention, in-app ratings, network logs and the integrations you already use.
Teams with strict data-residency, security or compliance requirements — for example fintech, healthcare, government and other regulated industries — as well as enterprises that must keep customer and diagnostic data inside their own network to pass internal security reviews.
No. Self-hosted / on-premise deployment is an Enterprise-plan option. The free Basic plan and the Standard and Premium plans run on Shakebug's managed cloud. You can start on the cloud and move to a self-hosted Enterprise deployment later.
